Outlook's Focused Inbox
What is Focused Inbox?
Microsoft have introduced a Focused Inbox view in Outlook and Outlook on the web, which is on by default.
This view separates your Inbox into two tabs – Focused and Other. The intention is that the Focused tab shows your most important email and everything else is out of the way on the Other tab.
You can train Focused Inbox to help you focus on the emails which are important to you.
Some people like this splitting of the Inbox, but if you don’t, you can turn it off and go back to the standard single Inbox view.
In Outlook, click the View tab then click Show Focused Inbox to turn the view off or on.
Tap the three-line Menu button at the top-left of the app.
Tap the Settings button.
Tap the Focused Inbox slider to turn it off or on.
In Outlook, click on the Organize tab, then click the Focused inbox button to turn it off or on.
In Outlook on the web (at office.com) click on Settings in the top-right corner.
Click the Focused Inbox toggle to turn it off or on.
