Set up email, contacts and calendars on your phone or tablet

If you already have an existing company email account on your phone, you should delete that first. To do that you would typically navigate to Settings > MailAccounts, tap your work account, then Sign out or Delete Account. Don’t worry! You won’t lose anything.

We recommend using Microsoft’s Outlook app because it integrates more seamlessly with Microsoft 365, supporting more features of your mailbox including shared mailboxes, has better support for multi-factor authentication, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and uses a consistent design language to Outlook on your computer.

Open the App Store on your device and search for Outlook by Microsoft Corporation. If you’re viewing this page on the device you want to set up your email on, you can tap here to go straight to the app in the store.

Open the Outlook app on your iPhone or iPad.

If this is your first time using the app, enter your full company email address, then tap Add Account. If you already have an account in the Outlook app, tap your profile icon in the top-left corner, then tap Settings Outlook app settings in the bottom-left corner, then Add Account and Add Email Account.

Enter your email account password and tap Sign In.

Synchronising your Outlook contacts with your phone.

To make it easier to place phone calls to your work contacts, you might want to synchronise them with the Contacts app on your device.

Open the Outlook app, tap Settings then tap your work email account, and tap to turn on Save contacts.

Add a Shared Mailbox

Now that you’ve added your primary work email account, you might want to add a shared mailbox to your phone or tablet. This might be appropriate if you have access to a generic email account (such as info@company.com) or your manager’s mailbox.
