Many businesses are stuck using very basic email systems, simply because that’s what’s they’ve always used. Standard email accounts as provided by your domain host don’t work well if you want to access your email on the web, or on multiple devices, such as a laptop, phone and tablet – if you delete a message on one device it’s still there on another. If you add a contact or calendar appointment on your phone, you wont see it on your laptop.

My IT Guy recommends and supports Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365), which is the industry standard email system. It works extremely well with all modern email clients, including PCs, Macs, smartphones and tablets.

Having your email and company data ‘in the cloud’ allows for automatic synchronisation of email, contacts, calendars and files across any number of devices.

You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with staff in real time from anywhere in the world! Microsoft 365 will allow you to use your own domain name, such as yourcompany.com, and we can help register one and set it up if you wish.

Prices start at £5 per person, per month, with no charge for generic ‘shared mailboxes’ such as info@yourcompany.com. Each account is provided with a generous 50GB of online messaging storage and 1TB of file storage.

The latest version of Office, always

If you also need the full suite of Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and others) then Microsoft 365 Business Standard is the package for your company.

You’ll be able to use Office on multiple devices, PCs, Macs, laptops, tablets and smartphones. This is Office as a Service, always updated to the latest version, rather than a boxed product which becomes obsolete after a few years.
